A 35-year veteran of media consulting and advertising, COO Tony Marsh brings the experience of traditional political marketing to the fresh outlook of the digital sphere. In the U.S., Tony has served as chief strategist and/or media consultant for the campaigns of more than 400 Republican candidates for local, legislative, and federal office, as well as a variety of statewide, local issue, and corporate image campaigns. Internationally, he has worked for candidates and causes in more than a dozen countries including Nicaragua, Ukraine, Iraq, Romania, Albania, Nigeria and Russia. Marsh has served as a consultant to five campaigns for President – including U.S. President Reagan and Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko.
Chris has worked on all levels of campaigns throughout the Southeast. He has experience with multiple Congressional campaigns in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Louisiana. In 2010, Chris worked as Director of Operations for Alan Wilson for Attorney General. In 2012, Chris worked with Media Research Center doing outreach in the key early primary states before working as a State Director in Mississippi for Santorum for President. Recently, Chris worked with the House Republican Caucus in Virginia as the Deputy Political Director, helping with targeted Delegate races in 2013. Chris serves as the Director of Client Strategy at surgeRED.
Andrew has extensive experience conducting field work for a number of non-profits in the Washington D.C. area including the Charles Koch Institute and the Leadership Institute. His non-profit and campaign expertise brings critical skills in strengthening national grassroots organizations and networks with a focus on developing social media audiences, digital advertising strategy, and digital platform integration. Andrew bring with him significant consulting experience including national communications for James Lankford’s 2014 U.S. Senate race, national online fundraising projects for Senator Mike Lee and Winning The Senate Super PAC, as well as the marketing for a New York Times and USA Today BEST Selling author. Andrew serves as the Operations Director at surgeRED.
Austin joins surgeRED as our Digital Director, using his extensive experience in professional web and graphic design to bring a sharp edge and experienced eye to the creative services of the team’s intricate digital products. Immersed in the growing world of technology, Austin’s experience with design allows the surgeRED team to take a campaigns messaging to the forefront of what is possible, new, and effective. Before joining the surgeRED team, Austin also served as the state representative for a handful of non-profit organizations, as well as being heavily involved in local and national politics, including helping two Senator Elects to victory in the 2014 midterm election season and acting as a political operative in New Mexico.
Director of Research and Data Management, John Vandivier, heads up our technology department at surgeRED. From website and mobile app development, to deep data analytic models, John provides the technical skills to make your digital dreams a reality. His strong, research-based skill set allows our creative programs to push past the barriers of what is possible online. John has contributed to the creation and revision of methodologies and standard operating procedures used for a variety of research and other projects. He has lead research teams to develop findings which are the groundwork for the signature, data-driven communications strategies crafted by surgeRED.
While our operations team works to make your project a success, Office Manager Rebecca Frodsham is the rock that keeps our doors open. From financial and payroll responsibilities, to invoicing and interfacing with our channel partners, Rebecca ensures that our processes are streamlined to maximize convenience for our clients. Before coming to surgeRED, Rebecca has worked with the Goldwater Institute in Phoenix in their policy, communications, and development departments and most recently at the Mercatus Center and Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University in their development department.
